MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD
Meeting of 5/16/2005
Meeting called to order by chairman Steve McAlister at 7:13.

Minutes of April 25,2005 were discussed and approved unanimously.
New Business:
1. Applicant: Jeff La Casse

Action Taken: Application approved unanimously.
2. Applicant: James G. Richard
Parcel: Map 102, Lot 46

Description: Applicant discussed installing a 13’ x 13’ moveable greenhouse which would infringe on sideline setback by about 8 feet. After discussion of requirement to obtain a Variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals, and his need to prove a hardship, Applicant changed his plan to that of a 10’ x 12’ greenhouse, which meets the required setback.
Action Taken: Modified plan was accepted unanimously.
3. The Board received copies of revised sections of the Draft Zoning By-Laws pertaining to Site Plan Review for Special Permits and Site Plan Review for all other cases. The Board wanted time to study these documents, before discussing them. Copies will be sent to absent members of the Board, and all will be urged to send their comments to Chair Glory Gery, ASAP.
4. The Board agreed that a change of the Draft By-Law from letters to decimal would aid greatly in using the new By-Law. A motion was made, seconded, and pasted unanimously to request Local Technical Assistance Grant from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission to convert the numbering system, which may require up to 22 hours of time. Steve McAlister will ask the Board of Selectmen to initiate the grant.
